Midfielder Lucas Paquetá is one of the most frequent players in the Brazilian National Team. He has been defending the Seleção since 2018. Despite his experience, the 26-year-old player will play his first match at Wembley, the venue for the friendly against England, on Saturday (23).
“Wembley is one of the great football stages that we dream of being able to enjoy. I have never played there. I hope it will be special, that we can win and that it will be a memorable moment in my life,” stated the West Ham player.

The English stadium has over 100 years of history and has witnessed iconic moments in football and music.
The match will mark Dorival Júnior’s debut as the head coach of the National Team. The coach was hired by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) in January to start a new cycle with the national team.
“I am very happy. I worked with Professor Dorival towards the end of my time at Flamengo, and it was an incredible experience. I am happy about the call-up, the recognition of my work. Being in the Seleção has always been my dream, every child’s dream. To return, I feel even more privileged,” said the Rio de Janeiro native, who has been called up again to represent Brazil.
“My first call-up was in 2018, and since then it has been six years, and I have only missed out on four or five (call-ups). The responsibility is significant, and it only grows with each call-up, each return. I hope to contribute in the best way possible, whether on or off the field,” he concluded.
