Goalkeeper Lorena is a player who gets very excited with each achievement, each great save, and is quite optimistic about the participation of the Brazilian National Team in the Paris Games, starting on July 25, the day of the game against Nigeria.
Just like her teammates, she can’t wait for the start of the competition and already imagines the moment when the national anthem sounds in the stadium, in the opening match.

“My heart will race a lot. It’s a dream of every athlete to be there in that moment. I’ve been thinking about it every day. But to hold back the anxiety, I can give time to time and live one day at a time. Before that, I’m trying to focus on what Arthur (Elias) is telling us.”
Lorena knows, of course, that she can’t predict what will happen in the competition, so great is the balance between the teams. But one thing she is convinced of. The Brazilian National Team will strive to the utmost to obtain the results.
“We will go with a lot of grit, a lot of dedication, a lot of dedication. Always in search of victory. We know we will face great teams that will also go after the victory, but the Brazilian fans can be calm about that. We will give our 100% in all matches.”
She added that the National Team has had great games throughout the season, both in the Gold Cup, the SheBelieves and in friendlies, and this has served to increase the confidence of the group.
“We have stood out for the power of the attack and also for a solid defense, which is little pierced. I believe that in these Olympics it will be no different.”
