Brazil is preparing for another challenge on the international stage, with the Copa América approaching. However, the call-up for the tournament reveals a change in the national team.
Under the command of Dorival Júnior, less than half of the players who were at the last World Cup with Tite will be present in the event that will be played in the United States, between June and July of this year.

Among the players who have maintained their places in the national team are well-known names, such as Alisson, Danilo, Marquinhos and Lucas Paquetá, who bring with them the experience of previous competitions.
On the other hand, other athletes who were at the World Cup were not called up, either for technical reasons or physical and off-field issues.
Physical problems
The absence of important players, such as Neymar, Richarlison and Casemiro, stands out in the call-up for the Copa América.
While Richarlison faces physical problems that prevented him from being included in the list, Neymar is still recovering from knee surgery and has no set date to return to the field. His presence in the national team, therefore, is postponed to the qualifiers for the next World Cup.
Casemiro, in turn, is not in good form at United and was also not invited. Dorival responded in an interview that he will contact the player to talk.
New names for the future
In addition to the already well-known names, Dorival Júnior’s call-up also includes players who were not present at the last World Cup.
This renewal of the squad demonstrates the search for new options and talents that can contribute to the success of the national team.
- Goalkeeper Bento;
- Fullbacks Yan Couto, Guilherme Arana and Wendell;
- Defenders Beraldo and Gabriel Magalhães;
- Midfielders Andreas Pereira, Douglas Luiz and João Gomes;
- Forwards Endrick, Evanilson and Savinho.
