New call-ups

Dorival Júnior made three changes to the Brazilian National Team squad on Monday night (11) due to injuries. Out of the list, goalkeeper Ederson, defender Marquinhos, and forward Gabriel Martinelli were removed.

In their places, Vasco’s goalkeeper Léo Jardim, Flamengo’s defender Fabrício Bruno, and Porto’s forward Galeno were called up. The latter is a sensation in European football and has similar numbers to Vinícius Júnior.

The 26-year-old forward is one of the standout players for FC Porto. In the current season, he has already scored 13 goals, five of them in the Champions League. The player has hardly played in Brazil, having passed through small clubs during his adolescence.
