In the last few hours it became known that the victim in the case, for which Corinthians coach Cuca is accused of sexual violence, identified him as a participant. Yesterday, in an interview with the Brazilian news outlet UOL, the victim’s lawyer, Willi Egloff, affirmed that Cuca is lying: “Alexi Stival’s (Cuca) statement is false. The girl recognized him as one of the rapists,” he said.

In turn, the defense lawyer affirmed that after studies carried out, the defendant’s semen was found in the victim: “‘It is true that Alexi Stival’s semen was found in the girl’s body”, which would complicate the defense of the current Corinthians coach.
For his part, during his presentation at Corinthians last week, the Brazilian coach says that the girl has already expressed herself three times about her participation and denied it on those three occasions: “If it had happened today, if it had happened now, it would have helped me a lot. You would hear the girl say, “No, he wasn’t. No, he wasn’t. No, he wasn’t.” She said it three times. That’s it. I am already acquitted,” Cuca said.
For its part, the club showed support and said that the case had been investigated prior to the hiring of the former Gremio player. The other three defendants are former Porto Alegre team players: Eduardo, Fernando and Henrique.
Corinthians plays against Remo today in the Brazilian Cup. Cuca said that he will not talk about the subject anymore, only through his lawyers. He now has lawyers representing him in Switzerland also. The case happened in 1987.
