Kaylan Henrique, a young Brazilian player, is carving out his space and becoming a key player for Al Dhaid in the United Arab Emirates. With experience in the youth teams of major clubs such as Grêmio, São Paulo, and Palmeiras, as well as professional experience with Vasco and Volta Redonda, Kaylan found in Al Dhaid not only a new club, but an opportunity to rewrite his story.

In his first season at the Arab club, the player not only adapted quickly but also assumed a prominent position in the team. His performance on the field has not only gained the trust of the coaching staff but also the respect of his teammates. In total, the 20-year-old defender has scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist in 14 games in 2023/2024.

“Scoring my first goal was an indescribable moment! Every player dreams of this, and I had the happiness to experience it here. Adapting to Al Dhaid’s style of play was a challenge that I embraced from the beginning. I was welcomed by the team and the fans. I quickly integrated into the club’s style of play and with my teammates, which greatly facilitated my transition. I am really enjoying this experience and am eager to continue contributing to the club’s success,” said the Brazilian.

Despite the rapid adaptation on the field, Kaylan’s start was not without its challenges. The adaptation required effort, as did missing his son, but the player reveals that he overcame these difficulties with great determination. For him, Al Dhaid has become more than a club; it is a way to rebuild his career after short and tumultuous stints with some Brazilian clubs.

“I found in Al Dhaid a way to rewrite my story. Unfortunately, in Brazil, I ended up losing my way and making some choices that, now more mature, I see have harmed me a lot. This made my track record in Brazil not very favorable. So here, I have the opportunity to do everything differently,” explains Kaylan.

However, Kaylan’s affection for Brazilian football remains alive in his dreams of a return. In Brazil, the defender won a Copa do Brasil with São Paulo’s youth team and a Carioca championship with Vasco. The young player revealed a special desire to return to play for Palmeiras.

“I want to return to play in Brazil. I hope to one day have the opportunity to show the man I have become and to rewrite my story in Brazilian football. During my time in Brazil, I developed a very special affection for Palmeiras; it was a club where I learned and identified with a lot,” concluded the defender.
