Brazilian forward John Kennedy showed his discontent after Brazil lost to Argentina 1-0 and failed to classify for the Paris Olympic Games.
“I think it’s sadness, but on my part, mainly shame. A team as big as Brazil should not miss the Olympics. Sadness, but a bit of shame. Not a little, a lot of shame.”

Kennedy was used by Ramon Menezes in most of the games, but came out of the bench in the loss to Argentina.
The Fluminense player said that the team lacked aggressiveness in order to win.
“I think we lacked a bit of desire to win. We lacked a bit of scoring goals, finishing off important games. We fell short in that aspect. Chin up, life goes on. It wasn’t the result we expected. We have to move on and look for greater things.”
Brazil won the Olympic gold in 2016 and 2020 (21) but will not be able to defend its conquest.
