In the last friendly match of the Brazilian National Team, a 4-0 rout over Jamaica on June 4 in Salvador, Jheniffer had a great performance and scored two goals. As a forward, she knows that her main role is exactly that, and if possible, she wants to repeat the feat at the Paris Olympics.

“I dream of participating in the Olympics and the possibility of scoring goals. Of course, the most important thing is to get there and perform well the coach’s instructions, thinking about the collective, the team as a whole. But yes, if I score a goal, I don’t know how it will be with so much emotion.”

In the days of the National Team’s preparation in Teresópolis, Jheniffer is another one who stands out for her dedication and shows good integration with her teammates. Her focus has been on learning and improving in training and also on the opponents in the first phase.

“Our expectation grows every day that passes, because we know the work that has been done, with the full group. We are studying the opponents and the preparation has been very good.”

The forward has the potential to play in various positions in the offensive sector and has already had some of these experiences under the command of Arthur Elias at Corinthians. If it is necessary to repeat this in the Olympics, she will be ready to help.

“I’ve been working with Arthur for a long time. He has already put me in as a winger, winger, and center forward. My main characteristic is finishing. I’m more of an area center forward, but I can also perform other functions without any problem.”

The Brazilian National Team has been in Teresópolis for several days, preparing for the dispute of the Paris Olympic Games. The trip to France will be on Wednesday (17). The team’s debut is scheduled for the 25th, against Nigeria. Then, in order, Brazil will face Japan and Spain in the group stage.
