Eight years ago, the UEFA official profile chose five goals of him in the Champions League, where he is a three-time champion with Real Madrid. The video features strikes against Porto, Marseille, Roma, Leverkusen and Sporting.

The impossible free kick against France in 1997
This is probably the most iconic moment from the Brazilian. The national squad was awarded a foul from very far away and the left back placed the ball gently before distancing himself to take the kick, going almost to the midfield. When he struck it, however, the curve was so great that it is popular called ‘the best free kick of all time’.

There’s nothing much to say about this goal. Roberto Carlos receveid the ball almost on the line in the end of the field and kicked the ball with power, a beautiful trivela. It was a goal against all odds.
