Colorado won Sport by a 5-3 score line in a match valid for the 16th round of the Brasileirão.
Patrick scored twice, entitled to a great goal, and was the top scorer of the match. Rodrigo Moledo, Adryelson against and Yuri Alberto closed the account for Inter. Marquinhos, Leandro Barcia and Mikael scored for Sport in the interesting match.
The first half didn’t see a goal until the 35th minute.
Patrick scored a great goal in the 35th minute leaving Iago Maidana on the ground. Adryelson gifted Inter another goal six minutes later via an own goal. Sport pulled one back before half time after Marquinhos fired home a header.
The second stage was even more dramatic. Inter scored another goal early on with Rodrigo Moledo. Sport pulled one back again with Leandro Barcia. It looked like a reaction in search of a tie, but it was in the sketch. Eduardo Coudet moved the team and Colorado regained control of the game and extended their advantage. Patrick scored his second goal after a corner kick. Later, Yuri Alberto scored his first goal in an Inter shirtr. When the lights went out, Mikael cashed for Sport and scored the final goal of the game. 5-3 score line in favour of Inter.
With the victory, Inter resumes second place in the Brasileirão with 31 points. They are level on points with leaders Atlético-MG with one more game in hand. Colorado could be overtaken by Flamengo this Thursday. Sport is 10th place with 20 points.
The two teams return to the field for the 17th round of the Brasileirão next Sunday. Sport will face Bragantino at Nabi Abi Chedid. Inter receives Vasco in Beira-Rio in an earlier fixture on the same day.
