This is because, in the last two matches, the defender scored two goals. The first came in the 3-2 defeat to CRB, while the second came last Saturday in the 2-0 victory against Botafogo-SP.
“It’s an inexplicable feeling to be able to score with a Chapecoense shirt, I feel very accomplished, very happy. I had been working, trying hard, dedicating myself so that a goal could be scored to help the team and in the end two goals came in the last two games. We realize that the work is being rewarded, so I just have to be grateful and keep working”, celebrated the defender.
With two rounds remaining in Série B, Chapecoense occupies 17th place in the table with 36 points, one less than Tombense, the first team outside the Z4.
This Friday, Chape will go to Itu to face Ituano in a direct confrontation and defender Bruno Leonardo recognizes the importance of the confrontation and the need to score away from home.
“The three points against Botafogo were fundamental, we absolutely needed to win at home, we needed the victory to stay alive, we knew that if we didn’t win we could even say goodbye to Series B. So now it’s time to go to the confrontation directly with Ituano, respecting their team a lot, which is very qualified and shouldn’t be in this situation either. It’s a final for us and for them too, so we’re going there convinced that we need a good result”, he analyzed.
