On Thursday (18), midfielder Estêvão from Palmeiras underwent tests and was found to have sprains in his left knee and ankle. The young player will miss the match for Verdão on Saturday (20) against Cruzeiro.
Estêvão has already begun treatment at Palmeiras’ Health and Performance Center and is waiting for recovery to return to the pitch.

When will Estêvão return to play for Verdão?
The club has not provided a timeline for the player’s return. However, Verdão is optimistic about the severity of the issue, as Estêvão did not suffer any fractures.
Palmeiras expects that conservative treatment will be sufficient for a positive response, and that the number 41 will be able to return to play soon.
Estêvão is unavailable for this Saturday (20) in the 18th round against Cruzeiro. The young player was injured last Wednesday (17) in a direct match for the lead against Botafogo at Nilton Santos.
At 32 minutes into the second half, in a challenge for the ball with Alexander Barboza, Estêvão fell onto his left leg and received medical attention on the field after complaining of pain. The number 41 even returned to the match but fell again and was substituted by Maurício. The midfielder left the stadium limping.
Without Estêvão, Felipe Anderson may start as a starter. Maurício is also in contention for a spot among the starting 11.
