“We knew the responsibility of being the home team in a competition of this size. Especially since it was a milestone in the club’s history. I am very honored to have participated in the beginning of this story and I am very grateful for the opportunity. At just 19 years old, Rafael had great numbers during Copinha. In addition to the goal, the player was the defender with the most accurate passes at 92% and tackles, with 11 successful tackles in five games. His performance in the competition caught the attention of Brazilian and international clubs, which even made offers for the Brazilian prospect. One of them was Famalicão, from the first division of Portugal, which has already made an official offer for the defender.

“It was a very good experience, an excellent opportunity to evolve as an athlete. Copinha brings together the best youth players in Brazil and I was blessed to have been able to give my best. Regarding the offers, we will see what can happen, it is too early to talk. I am happy that all my dedication has opened some doors for me. But I am focused on playing football and improving every day,” concluded the player.
