How has life been after the award?
I’ve been much more recognized, which is really cool, but with that comes more pressure, more criticism, and I’m still learning to deal with all of that.
What did you feel with the achievement?
I felt immense happiness and gratitude, it feels like an achievement to say that I’m on the right path. On that day, I remembered the difficulties that my family and I went through. It was so difficult that it seemed impossible to leave the interior of Mato Grosso do Sul and achieve these accomplishments.
What are the expectations for this season?
They are good. It will be a season where I will need to adapt again, I’m going to the best division in Brazil. I hope to be prepared as quickly as possible and perform in the best way, just like I did for Botafogo-SP.
Are you receiving a lot of recognition from the fans?
Yes, even though I haven’t played much for Cuiabá, the fans cheer for me, it’s something really cool.
Have you received messages from any famous players?
Only from those I know and from some I met at the awards, like Cafu and Ederson. Diego Costa, a defender for São Paulo, Maurício and Romulo from Internacional, Bruno Alves, Deyverson, and everyone here in the Cuiabá group as well.
Are you already thinking about scoring a special goal for this year?
That would be cool, but it’s very difficult.
