It seems to be a matter of time before Luis Suárez says goodbye to Gremio for good. The Uruguayan striker had a contract until December 2024, but due to knee discomfort, he agreed to bring forward the end of his contract to the end of this year.
With the possibility of leaving Brazil as a free agent in January 2024, it is expected that “Lucho” will be reunited with Lionel Messi in the United States. The rumor has gained strength in the last few weeks, but Inter Miami has been cautious about it.

Inter Miami not confirm anything about Suarez yet
“He’s currently with Grêmio, so we don’t want to comment on a player who’s not on our roster,” Henderson said in regard to the Suarez rumors, via the MLS official website. “He is another player that’s always been linked with our team and it’s great to have great players around the world connected with Inter Miami and wanting to come here.”
Suarez had a fantastic season in his first year in Brazil, scoring 23 goals in 49 games in all competitions. Therefore, his departure would be a great loss for the Porto Alegre team.
