Gold at the Pan-American, Arthur Chaves is called up again for the Pre-Olympic Team

After conquering the medal, Ramon Menezes called the defender back for the next FIFA date

Young Arthur Chaves has barely returned to Portugal and has already learned again that he will have to return to the Brazilian National Team on the next FIFA date.

This is because coach Ramon Menezes called up the 22-year-old defender for a training period on the next FIFA date which takes place from the 13th to the 21st of November.

The player debuted for the national team at the Pan-American Games in Chile, helping Brazil win gold. The athlete, along with left-back Patryck, were the only ones to play every minute of the tournament.

Born at the Avaí base where he stayed for more than 10 years, Arthur is one of the seven athletes in the current squad who play outside Brazil. And one of the eight remaining from Chile’s gold medal victory.

The player returns to Portugal for the remainder of the 2023/2024 season, for Acadêmico de Viseu, which competes in the Second League.
