The Brazilian National Team’s dinner on Wednesday (24) included a celebratory moment with cake for two birthday girls: goalkeeper Luciana and supervisor Amanda Storck. As they sang “Happy Birthday,” chef Eduardo Rezende helped ease some of the players’ anxiety ahead of their Olympic debut this Thursday (25) against Nigeria.
Luciana was prompted to give a quick speech. She thanked everyone for their kind gestures and expressed her confidence in the team’s success.

“Thank you for the affection. I know how many players would love to be here sharing this moment with us, and that’s why I cherish every moment here in France. I am very convinced that the National Team will achieve our dream,” Luciana said, receiving much applause.
Earlier, the team made final adjustments for the match against Nigeria. They trained at Chaban Delmas Stadium for just over an hour. Coach Arthur Elias made changes throughout the session, demonstrating that he has various game options.
