The setback against Paraguay in the opening of the decisive quadrangular of the Pre-Olympic was behind us and did not shake the confidence of the Brazilian team. The one who guarantees this is striker Giovane, from Corinthians.

He says that the adjustments after this clash, played on Monday (5), were made by coach Ramon Menezes and the team is ready to face Venezuela this Thursday (8), in Caracas.

“In football everything happens very quickly, there is often no time to regret a defeat. Two days later comes another game and a new opportunity to recover. We know our responsibility, how difficult the match against the home team will be, but we are prepared. The environment is light and now it’s time to put into practice everything that has been done in training”, he said.

He stated that he even prefers to play in a stadium full of opposing fans, under strong pressure, and that most of his teammates also think so. Therefore, he guarantees, no one will be intimidated by the Venezuelan force of a few thousand Venezuelans who will be occupying the seats at the Brígido Iriarte Stadium, in Caracas.

“Like me, everyone in our group has the dream of playing in the Olympics. We all really want that. Three years ago, I would never have imagined that one day I would be able to enjoy this possibility. Priceless. If I go to the Olympics, this will be marked in my life and in the lives of everyone here on the Brazilian team.”
