With the Fluminense shirt, only two other players besides Cano reached the milestone: Waldo, the greatest scorer in the club’s history, who scored 48 and 40 goals in the 1956 and 1957 seasons, respectively, and Hércules (44 goals in 1936 and 48 in 1937).
Since last year, Cano has been breaking records and has already written his name in the history of Fluminense. With 84 goals, he isolated himself as the club’s second top scorer in the century.
Last year, with 44 goals, he was the top scorer in the Brazilian Championship (26 goals) and the Copa do Brasil (5 goals) and became the best scorer in the entire history of Tricolor in the same season if only official games are considered. This year, Cano was the top scorer in Conmebol Libertadores and Campeonato Carioca.
