Jesus explains: “Ederson pushed me after the referee called a foul. On the pitch, we each defend our team, but off the pitch our relations are good.” Despite the tension of the moment, the two former Cityzens quickly explained themselves calmly after the match.
This slight incident is not the only notable event of this meeting. City defender Kyle Walker lost his temper with Arsenal coaching staff member Nicolas Jover, refusing to shake his hand. A reaction considered excessive by many, due to a previous reproach from Jover last year.
