Gabriel Jesus became a benchmark for Arsenal in just one season at the club. The forward who emerged from Palmeiras arrived in north London from Manchester City in July 2022 and made his presence felt immediately.
Already recovered from an injury suffered during the World Cup in Qatar, Jesus is once again a fundamental piece of the Gunners, who dream of the Premier League title. However, his team missed the victory in the last two matches.

Gabriel Jesus points out that Arsenal must raise the level to fight
Jesus is experiencing a great personal moment, having scored four goals in five league games since he returned from injury. The Brazilian has scored against Liverpool and West Ham on the last two dates, but in both games Arsenal blew the advantage on the scoreboard.
“Again, the three points were in our hands,” Jesus said in dialogue with the team’s official site. “Obviously the game lasts 90 minutes, not just 20 or 30. As a team, we have to raise the bar and go back to our principles. We know our strengths, we know what we can do. This is not the time to blame, as a team we must raise our level again and win games,” added the striker.
Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways on Friday 21 April when they host bottom club Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.
