Willian spent a large part of his career in London, more precisely in Chelsea where he played seven seasons and one for Arsenal. The Brazilian winger was formed in his own country by Corinthians, a team he returned briefly in the 2021 season and the player already classifies it as a mistake.
The winger is enjoying a good moment at Fulham where he has played 26 games scoring three goals and four assists, but above all being important to the team and a figure with a lot of experience both on and off the pitch. Thus, the team from the capital is in 10th position with 45 points.

Interviewed by the Premier League Brazil website, he was consulted about his time at Corinthians and was clear about the pressure that players received in his country: “The player is not a machine, he will have good and bad days. But sometimes fans don’t accept bad days. What I see in Brazil sometimes is inhuman pressure, which leads to violence at the base, threatens the family, the children,” said the former Chelsea player.
But when he was asked about the team that formed him, he showed more respect than affection for the institution: “I have a lot of respect for Corinthians, it is the club where I discovered myself and grew up. But I didn’t do my professional career at Corinthians, so I can’t say that I have some kind of link”, affirmed the striker.
The player also said that his stage in Brazil is closed, today he is focused on his club and he will see later what the future holds for him: “I never want to go back to Brazil again. Now I intend to close it here, whether in Europe, the United States or anywhere else. If it can be in England, it would be perfect”, stated Willian.
