The 2024 Copa América is already underway. Reigning champions Argentina started their title defense strongly by defeating Canada 2-0 in the opening match in Atlanta, Georgia. Although this increases their favoritism, Max Verstappen has not lost faith in Brazil.

In a brief video posted by the Red Bull team on social media, the Dutch driver mentioned the Seleção when asked about his pick to win the competition taking place in the United States.

His teammate, Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez, leaned towards the Albiceleste, but the three-time Formula 1 champion still believes in what Brazil can do. Not long ago, Verstappen revealed he supports Vasco da Gama, influenced by his girlfriend Kelly Piquet, daughter of the three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet.

Will Brazil live up to Max’s expectations? The team led by Dorival Júnior will make its debut on Monday, June 24, when they face Costa Rica at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Later, they will take on Paraguay and Colombia, their other rivals in Group D.

The 2024 Copa América final will be held on July 14 in Miami.
