Former Manchester United Rafael has been on a good journey in Brazil. He came back to the country to play for the team he cherishes and things have worked out well: they’re leaders of the Brazilian League and living a great phase.

Rafael, however, is not having a lot of playing time due to an injury, but he appreciates the opportunity of being part of this history.

In a quote at ESPN Brazil’s Bola da Vez program, the right-back talked about the quality of Botafogo’s stadium, commonly known as Engenhão due to the neighborhood it is on, but officially called Nilton Santos.

“I’m not trying to pull things for Botafogo, but Botafogo’s synthetic is very good. Even wetter. Wet, I’m not going to say that it looks like Old Trafford because I’m going to be lying, but our synthetic, I played at Athletico Paranaense, I played at Palmeiras and it has a big difference”, he said.

“You can see that the grass is much taller and it’s very pleasant to play on, even more so when it’s wet, when it’s very hot it gets a little dry and it gets a little complicated. But the wet synthetic is very good”, he added.
