You spent just over a year at Internacional. How do you evaluate this experience?
It was an incredible experience. Internacional is a huge team, has a passionate fan base, and I feel very grateful for the opportunity. I cherish important moments like scoring my first goal wearing the Internacional jersey, which happened in D’Alessandro’s farewell match with a packed Beira-Rio stadium. It will always be etched in my memory.
You played alongside D’Alessandro. What is it like to work with such an important athlete in the club’s history?
It was an honor to play alongside him, especially at Internacional. He is an idol for all the colorados (Internacional fans), and you can feel the love and respect the supporters have for him. I feel very happy to have lived and learned from the person and leader that he is.”
Now you are at a new club, experiencing European football. How has it been so far?
It has been very rewarding. It’s a dream come true to be playing in Europe, and I already feel adapted. The city is great, the atmosphere at the club is also fantastic, and I’m feeling very well in these first months here in Spain. I continue to work day by day to give my best and repay all the trust I have received.
In your official announcement by Oviedo, they placed you at a tourist spot: the Christ statue. How was that? Did they talk to you about it? It was really cool…
It was a surprise. I didn’t know that the announcement would be done in that way, and I found it quite creative.
