Former Fluminense player, Luccas Claro completes 400 career games: “Evolve even more”

In his fifth year playing in Europe, specifically in Turkey, Luccas Claro is one of the foreigners most identified with Turkish football. Next Monday (21) he will complete an expressive milestone in his career. The Eyupspor defender will reach 400 games as a professional athlete and does not hide his emotion for the great achievement and the desire to achieve other goals.

“Reaching this number means a lot to me. These are years of sacrifices, regularity, conquered dreams, struggles, but the desire to grow and win remains stronger than ever”, said the 31-year-old from São Paulo.

Revealed in the youth categories of Coritiba, Luccas Claro played 178 games with the team, 167 as a starter, and scored 12 goals for Coxa. In 2017, the Brazilian had his first experience in European football, defending the colors of Gençlerbirligi, from Turkey, where he played for three seasons.

Hired in 2019 by Fluminense, the defender had good moments defending the Tricolor. An example of his time in Rio was in the 2020 season, when he started 41 of the 42 games played and scored six goals. He was among the best in the position in the Brazilian Championship that year.

In his second season for Eyupspor, Luccas Claro made 29 appearances and scored one goal. The team debuted with a victory, last Saturday (12) by 1-0 against Keciorengucu, and entered the selection of the championship round.

The defender also wore the shirt of the Brazilian National Team in the 2011 Pan American Games, held in Guadalajara.
