Young striker Breno, revealed in Cruzeiro’s youth categories, continues to follow his footsteps in international football. Last weekend, the Brazilian officially debuted for Cherno More, from Bulgaria, assisting the team’s second goal against Lokomotiv Plovdiv. The match, which featured the top two teams in the Parva Liga table against each other, ended in a 2-2 draw.

At 21 years old, Breno emerged into football in 2022, still in the U-20 category of the Minas Gerais team. He played in 32 games between the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, Campeonato Mineiro U-20, Campeonato Brasileiro under-20 and Copa do Brasil under-20.

Since then, he has made six appearances for the Raposa professional team, led at the time by Paulo Pezzolano, and provided one assist.

In 2023, Breno began his journey in Europe as the first athlete to exchange between the two clubs managed by Ronaldo Fenômeno: Cruzeiro and Real Valladolid.

The striker played for around six months in the Spanish club’s B team, which is coached by the Brazilian Júlio Baptista, a former player who spent time with the Brazilian national team and clubs such as São Paulo, Cruzeiro, Sevilla, Real Madrid, Arsenal, among others. With the end of his loan, however, Breno postponed his dream of playing against the Spanish giants in La Liga.

Willing to continue in European football, the young man signed a three-year contract with Cherno More, who occupy second place in the Bulgarian first division. Cruzeiro kept 30% of the athlete’s economic rights, being able to profit from a possible sale in the future.
