Brazilian Fut-7 team SA Betesporte was undefeated world champion in the early hours of this Friday (15), in a tournament played in Mexico. The title came after a victory in a well-fought match against Jardim das Palmeiras, a club from Santa Catarina, where the northeastern team won 3-2 in the end. There were six wins in six games throughout the campaign.

One of the team’s highlights in the competition was Jorge Henrique. The former Corinthians striker was a starter and important for the team during the tournament and won this, which is his second world title in his career.

“I know the size and responsibility of playing in a World Cup. I’m more experienced in football and I knew my role in this squad, I’m happy that my teammates can feel this taste of being world champions. It was very nostalgic for me, exciting too, for me it reminded me of one of the happiest moments of my career. I’m very happy for this achievement and for having helped this project here at SA Betesporte. Even more so against a ‘Palmeiras’ team too (laughs)”, said Jorge Henrique.

“I am very happy to have contributed to this important achievement. It’s an honor to be participating in such a winning project and to see that all our daily efforts were rewarded with a title of this magnitude is truly exciting. It was one of the most memorable moments of my career, but it didn’t stop there! Let’s go for more, for sure”, responds Neto Baiano.
