Striker Cauê Santos, former Corinthians, left Benfica B after the end of his contract at the beginning of July and is returning to Lommel SK, a team in Belgium and part of the City Group, with whom he has a contract active until July 2026. At 22 years old, the young Brazilian is looking forward to a new challenge in the European market.
“It was a good season in Portugal. I was a starter and was able to help the team. It’s been almost three years in Europe. This period has made me grow a lot as a person and as a professional. I feel much more mature and technically evolved,” says the striker.

Last season, Cauê played in 28 games and scored seven goals. Now, Cauê is looking for new opportunities in Europe while doing pre-season training in Austria with the Lommel team.
“Compared to Brazil, the European style of play is much more intense and tactical. While in Portugal, there are many similarities with the football played in Brazil. In Belgium, it is much more physical. My expectation from now on is to continue growing and showing good work on the field,” concludes the striker.
The athlete is back in Belgium to play for Lommel and is in negotiations with other clubs, mainly in central Europe. Today there are negotiations and inquiries with teams from Portugal and Austria.
For Lommel, Cauê has accumulated 42 games, 16 goals and one assist, since his arrival in 2022. For Corinthians, in the under-20 categories, he was the top scorer of the Brasileirão with seven goals and runner-up in the Paulista Championship in 2020. Playing for the Alvinegro’s first team, he participated in 14 matches and scored two goals.
