The 24-year-old forward Vinicius Mingotti is the new reinforcement for Moreirense in Portugal. The player spent the last season on loan from Athletico-PR to Bahia. Now, the goal scorer joins the Moreira de Cónegos team with a three-season contract.

“I am very happy with this opportunity. It will be my first time playing in European football, and I couldn’t be happier. When I received the invitation, I was very excited about this possibility. I was looking forward to everything going well (laughs). Now it’s time to work well, adapt as quickly as possible, and help my teammates,” said Mingotti.

A native of São Carlos (SP), Mingotti had his first experience in football when he joined Novorizontino’s U-17 team in 2016, where he stayed for two years before transferring to São Paulo’s U-20 team. In 2019, he moved to Athletico (PR), where he played for the U-19 and U-20 teams before making his professional debut.

In 2022, he was loaned to Tombense before joining Mirassol, where he played an important role in the Serie C title with seven goals in 14 games played. Before his loan to Bahia, he played for Operário, with 13 matches for the Paranaense club and eight goals scored.

“I come to contribute in the best way. My role is to score goals, put the ball in the net, but I will seek to help coach Rui Borges in whatever is necessary. I believe that adaptation will also be smooth. Portugal is home to many Brazilians, it is a country that welcomes us very well, and several athletes achieve success. So, I want to repeat the journey and help Moreirense reach high places,” the player concluded.

Vinicius Mingotti was part of the team that won the Copa Sudamericana and the Paranaense Championship with Athletico-PR in 2021 and 2020, respectively.

In 2023, combining Bahia and Operário, he played 30 games, scored nine goals, and provided two assists.
