The game
The match started with Corinthians putting pressure on Flamengo, who found it difficult to cross the midfield line. Afterwards, Ayrton Lucas also tried to shoot from outside the area, but the Corinthians goalkeeper made another good save. With greater possession of the ball, Flamengo went forward, while the São Paulo team retreated and bet on counterattacks.

At 8′, Mengão opened the scoring with a great goal. Everton Ribeiro played the ball to Gerson, who took Gil out of the play and hit a beautiful shot into the corner, with no chance for the goalkeeper: 1-0.
