Fluminense is already in Saudi Arabia to try the biggest conquest of its history. The team won its first Copa Libertadores one month ago, at the Maracanã stadium, and is now propelled into another great challenge.

They still don’t know who will be the opponent on Monday’s semifinal game. On Friday, Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad will face each other for the spot.

“I didn’t watch anything yesterday (the match between Al-Ittihad and Auckland City), but we have been mapping the games for both teams and obviously we will follow the game on site to make the final adjustments,” said Diniz.

“This time of year here is the coldest. I played in Qatar and when it’s close to summer it’s unbearable. Cariocas at the height of the heat here would really miss Rio. At this moment it is cooler here (than Rio), but the heat is at its peak here.”

“The delivery will be the same, we will enter with this spirit from the beginning to the end of the match. We are grateful for the support we have received all along. To the few who managed to come here and to the millions who stayed in Brazil. I think our biggest asset of the season is the connection with the fans. Our fans have been fundamental. All the support, affection and effort to accompany the team. This has made the players respond on the field.”
