Passionate Palmeiras fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Leila Pereira-led club, demanding reinforcements for their beloved side. Yesterday morning, La Mancha Alviverde, a group of organized supporters, protested in front of the headquarters of Crefisa, the club’s sponsor and company headed by Leila Pereira, president of Verdão.

Their main concern is the delay in recruiting new players, a concern already expressed this week in a note posted on social media by the group. They also denounce the exorbitant prices of tickets, which they consider to be the most expensive in Brazil.

Displaying banners with messages such as “We support the team and the technical staff” and “Strengthen the team”, the supporters sang ironic chants mocking the plane purchase made by Leila for the club.

Palmeiras’ main shortcoming is in midfield. Since Danilo left for Nottingham Forest in England, the club have failed to land a replacement and hope to do so in the next transfer window, which opens next week.

Zé Rafael has been repositioned in this sector, but the number 8 has injured his knee and is currently undergoing treatment, leaving Fabinho as the only natural option in this position.

So far in 2023, Palmeiras have only registered two arrivals: Richard Ríos, who distinguished himself with Guarani in the Paulista Championship, as well as Artur, coming from Bragantino. The first is currently on the bench while the second has become one of the pillars of the team led by Abel Ferreira.
