“Surprising”. This is how Priscila defined the year 2023. At 19 years old, the Internacional player is experiencing one of the best moments of her career when she represents the Main Women’s Team during the last FIFA Date of the year.

The striker stood out in the Libertadores, shone as Gurias Coloradas‘ top scorer during the Brasileirão and lifted the Gauchão cup. Furthermore, she crossed borders to win the title of top scorer and champion of the U19 Development League in Uruguay, scoring nine goals, being the first to score a hat-trick in the competition.

“It’s one of the best years of my life. I’m very happy because I’ve been doing great things, great achievements in my life. And I say this to everyone, that it’s the result of a lot of work and dedication. I give myself to my work and how it appeared too the call-up, I’m very happy about it all and I just have to thank God.”

The path taken by a football player is not easy. Obstacles often prevent thousands of girls from demonstrating their talents on the field. Despite the challenges, Priscila persevered and today lives her dream of wearing Amarelinha for the Main Team.

“I didn’t imagine, many times I thought about giving up, because I thought I had many barriers, many difficulties. And when I look back and see that I achieved all of this, I think it’s very good. Rewarding and very exciting.”

In addition to being called up, Priscila will have the chance to play with two of her biggest inspirations in football: Marta and Debinha.

“It’s gratifying, it’s exciting too because I saw them on TV and now I can be with them by my side, I can play with them and it will definitely be exciting for me.”

The Brazilian Warriors held their second training session this Tuesday (28), at CT Joaquim Grava, in São Paulo, as part of the preparation for two friendly matches against Japan. The first will be on Thursday (30), at 3:15 pm, at the Neo Química Arena. The second will take place on Sunday (3), at 11am, in Morumbi. Next, the Seleção faces Nicaragua, on the 6th, at 6pm, at Fonte Luminosa, in Araraquara (SP).
