At Allianz Parque, in São Paulo, Palmeiras achieved an important victory over Botafogo, from Ribeirão Preto, with goals from Rony and Estevão. The match, which took place in the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, showed the strength of Verdão in another national competition.
Off the pitch, the highlight goes to Estevão, a youth academy product who has been attracting the interest of major European clubs, such as Chelsea, from England.

Chelsea wants Estevão, but…
According to information from the “UOL Esporte” website, the English club would be willing to offer up to 55 million euros, the equivalent of around 300 million reais, to have Estevão.
The proposal would involve 30 million euros fixed, plus 25 million euros in bonuses.
The player, however, is inclined to remain in Brazilian football.
Despite the tempting offer, Estevão has shown interest in staying at Palmeiras this year and analyzing other proposals that may arise from Europe.
It is important to note that Estevão, who will come of age only in April of next year, is prohibited from leaving Brazil before that date, which opens the door for a possible stay at Allianz Parque for longer, at least for now.
