The press praises Guimarães
British outlet ChronicleLive rated Guimarães’ performance a 9, the team’s highest score (shared with Kieran Trippier and Miguel Almirón): “A brilliant performance as he sped up the game in midfield. Lots of interceptions, tackles, and even a goal.”
Guimarães won 10 of the 13 aerial duels he played, intercepted four balls, registered five tackles, won five fouls and even had the luxury of sealing the final 4-1 at minute 91. With this result, Newcastle has the Champions League ticket in their hands.
