Player’s interest in European clubs
Since signing with Grêmio, Nathan Fernandes has never hidden his desire to play in Europe. In 2019, the player was already thinking about following in the footsteps of former Grêmio players Everton Cebolinha, sold to Benfica in 2020, and Pepê, who moved to Porto in 2021.
At that time, even before making his debut for the professional team, the young forward was approached by powerful teams in European football, including Juventus, Barcelona, and Roma.
Burnley’s inquiry
In recent days, Burnley, a team competing in the English second division, made an inquiry about the star. However, so far, Grêmio has not received any official proposals.
Currently, at 19 years old, Nathan Fernandes has lost his place in the main squad. His absence was noted during Grêmio’s elimination by Fluminense in the Libertadores, where he wasn’t even on the bench.
