England have revealed their 25-man squad to take on Brazil and Belgium in the upcoming international window. The Three Lions will play both games at Wembley, first hosting the Selecao on March 23 while Domenico Tedesco’s side visiting London three days later.

Gareth Southgate’s list includes some debutants, other players who return to the national team and some surprises on a roster that also has notable abscences. Earning their first call-up by the Three Lions are Everton central defender Jarrad Branthwaite and Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon.

When it comes to those returning to the international stage we find Liverpool defender Joe Gomez, who hadn’t been called up since November 2020, while Brentford star Ivan Toney is coming back from a suspension. Additionally, Manchester City’s John Stones and Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell are also back after spending time on the sidelines due to injury.

Those on the injured list and missing the friendlies are Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), and Kieran Trippier (Newcastle).

Two players shining on the global scene will show up in the upcoming matches though: Jude Bellingham, the unexpected goal-scoring machine for Real Madrid, and Harry Kane, who last Saturday scored his fourth hat-trick with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
