At just 17 years old, Endrick had an unforgettable season in 2023. After spending several months on the sidelines, the Palmeiras gem managed to gain Abel Ferreira’s confidence to secure a place in the starting lineup and contribute to the club’s second straight Brasileirao title.

Despite his young age, the forward already seems to be very mature. A few months ago, Endrick made it clear he is not a big fan of parties or nightlife, as he’s very committed to his professional career. In addition, he said he’s learning different languages to adjust better to Europe. Following Palmeiras’ league success, the Brazilian made it clear that he is not interested in taking the spotlight.

Endrick, a team player

“I don’t believe in protagonism. My friends told me that I would be the star of the championship and that I should win individual awards, but for me, that is not important because, for me, the team is important, and without them, I would be nothing. I am just grateful to be part of this squad,” said Endrick in an interview with Globo TV.

With 11 goals in 31 matches, the promising Brazilian striker played a crucial role in the Alviverde’s back-to-back championships. Real Madrid seems to have made a great investment by signing him, as the forward appears to fit the profile that such a significant club seeks: young, talented, team-oriented, and humble. Only time will tell if he can live up to the standards of the Spanish giant.
