One of the highlights of Atalanta in this European football season, midfielder Éderson, who has had stints at important Brazilian clubs, has sparked the interest of giant teams in Europe.

Éderson was brought up by Desportivo Brasil and turned professional at Cruzeiro, being one of the few positive standouts in the campaign that led to relegation to Serie B. After spells at Corinthians and Fortaleza, he has been in Italy since 2022, having played for Salernitana and Atalanta.

After standing out in the 2021-22 season with Salernitana, Éderson moved to Atalanta in 2022. This season, he scored 6 goals in 38 appearances for Dea, with five in Serie A and one in the Europa League.

How were Éderson’s stints at Brazilian clubs?

At Cruzeiro, Éderson played 22 matches, scoring two goals. He was part of the campaign that led to relegation to Serie B, but left the competition valued, transferring to Corinthians.

In 2020, Éderson was instrumental in helping Timão reach the final of the Campeonato Paulista, scoring goals in the quarterfinals against Red Bull Bragantino and in the semifinals against Mirassol.
