The Brazilian national team’s medal at the Paris Olympics is a gift to Brazilian women, “fighters since forever,” who can pursue their goals, whether in sports or any other field of human activity. This is how midfielder Duda Sampaio, one of the young leaders of the team, feels.

In her first Olympics, she is proud to represent the female universe, especially young girls who love soccer and dream of having a similar journey, one day reaching an Olympic final.

“When a woman wins an Olympic medal, it is largely due to our strength. We must always remember that many women before us fought for us, with their will and determination,” said Duda Sampaio.

For the Corinthians player, the pursuit of the podium by the female national team in Paris represents the continuation of that dedication from the past.

“We will move forward and show the world that this is the reality: women fighting for what they want wherever they want. I hope everyone sees this as an example for new generations, whether in sports or not; everyone can pursue their dreams and goals.”

The player, always very articulate, calls on Brazilian fans for the decision this Saturday against the United States in Paris, convinced it will be a “great game,” where Brazil will not lack “grit, determination, and commitment.”
