In this framework, former goalkeeper Dida could once again be key for the Rosoneros as he is mentoring current Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
The Frenchman himself has pointed him out on several occasions as a benchmark in the team’s goal and a model to follow for his way of tackling. Although the former player is no longer with the club as goalkeeping coach, he had a great responsibility in training and helping Maignan.
Dida, when asked about the characteristics of his disciple, was clear: “He is a goalkeeper with good reflexes and he always gives 100% in training and matches,” said the former international with Brazil.
Maignan arrived at the club in 2021 with the aim of replacing Gianluigi Donnarumma who had left for PSG for a millionaire sum. Since then he has become a guarantee in Milan’s goal and this season he has played 23 games with nine clean sheets.
