After almost a year without an official run-out, the Brazil women’s team returned to the pitch on Friday and thrashed Ecuador 6-0 in a friendly match that took place at the Neo Química Arena in São Paulo.
It was a game where Brazil dominated virtually all the time.
The first half was pretty quiet on goal front with only one goal scored but it was all different in the second half as Brazil saw a largely dominant period where they scored five times in the space of 16 minutes.
Debinha was the star of the game with a hat-trick to her name and some good goals to with. Valéria, Duda and Rafaelle scored goals of their own to complete the rout.
Debinha bagged the only goal of the first half with a fine shot that ended in the right corner. It was a more clinical looking Brazil side in the second half with the entry of debutants for the national side such as Valéria, Duda and Nycole.
Valeria and Duda will go on to score after coming on as substitutes. Debinha got her second of the game in the 78th minute and Valeria got her first national goal a minute later in the 79th minute. Rafaelle grabbed one in the 83rd minute and Debinha completed her hat-trick two minutes later from the penalty spot. Duda then wrapped things up with a beautiful goal two minutes from time to complete an emphatic result on home soil.
On Tuesday, the Brazil women’s team will play against Ecuador again in another friendly fixture at 9:30pm.
