After the elimination of the Brazilian National Team from the Copa América, the starting players Danilo and Endrick lamented the early exit of the team against Uruguay. At the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the teams did not move the scoreboard in the 90 minutes and, in the penalty shootout, La Celeste secured the spot for the semifinals.

The captain of the Seleção, Danilo, remembered the chances that were not taken throughout the game, but highlighted the potential that the group of called-up players has. Praising the group, the number 2 shirt also thanked the opportunity to compete in the competition alongside his teammates.

“(We lacked) being effective with the opportunities we had. It’s hard to talk about it now because we fought, we presented ourselves in a fair way, with quality, with the fight that had to be. This young team showed that they can do great things. I just hope the people have a little patience,” he said.

“For me, it was a huge honor to be with a group like this, in which there was a lot of work, professionalism and dedication,” he concluded.

Endrick, on the other hand, made his first start in the Copa América against Uruguay on Saturday (6), and was in his first match among the starting 11. He dedicated himself the entire time, pressing ball exits and looking for space, with the aim of reaching the Uruguayan goal.

“I’m sad, it’s a feeling not only in ours but in all Brazilians because it’s difficult to be eliminated, even more so on penalties. It’s to keep our heads up, it’s too hard, but it’s what we need to do because we want to put Brazil back on top, but unfortunately it’s not happening this time,” he said.
