Crystal Palace watches Porto’s Pepê up close

Winger Pepê, formerly of Foz do Iguaçu and Gremio, is closely followed by several foreign clubs, the one that has shown the most interest in recent times is Crystal Palace. According to the portal O Jogo from Portugal, the English club recently sent emissaries to observe the Brazilian striker and is considering making an offer in the next transfer period.

The Portuguese newspaper also states that those sent by Palace witnessed the match against Boavista where Porto won 1-0 with a goal by Mehdi Taremi from the penalty spot. The Brazilian winger was a figure: “Pepê’s intelligence and quality was demonstrated yesterday” , stressed the Portuguese media about the triumph of the locals.

Some rumors suggest that Porto would ask for 75 millioneuros  for what he departure of Pepê, since he is a key player in the Sérgio Conceição scheme. O Jogo also highlighted other aspects of Pepê’s game: “He sacrifices himself for the team by playing on the entire attack front. His runs and dribbles are fearsome for the full-backs”, stated the Portuguese newspaper.

The Brazilian player has played almost 50 games this season with Porto where he scored five goals and gave 9 assists, being very important for the team. The left-handed winger is experiencing a great moment after arriving in Portugal at the beginning of 2021.
