On loan from Cruzeiro, Robert took the field for the first time as a player for Copenhagen, Denmark. The forward came on in the second half and participated for 11 minutes in the 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock in a match valid for the UEFA Conference League. The young player commented that he is happy in his new home.
“I’m very happy to step onto the field, in our home, and feel the energy of the fans. I’m adapting to the country, to a new culture, and the football is also different, so it’s a matter of time and continuing to fight for my place,” said the forward.

The match was not only Robert’s debut for the team but also in European continental competitions. The victory last Thursday (22) was significant as it was the first leg of the playoffs for the competition. The second leg will take place next week, on August 29, with a spot in the group stage of the tournament at stake.
“This was my debut in continental competitions here in Europe; it will be our main competition this year, so it was good to win the first leg. Knockout rounds are complicated; any mistake can be costly, so it was important to take advantage of our strength at home and maintain this lead for the second leg,” Robert concluded.
