According to information published by the Itatiaia portal, Cruzeiro is about to finalize the sale of 26-year-old forward Arthur Gomes to Dynamo Moscow in Russia.

The proposal from the Russian club has been accepted, and the transaction is expected to be completed soon, with Dynamo willing to pay around €5 million (approximately R$ 31 million at the current exchange rate) for the player’s economic rights.

According to information from Rádio Itatiaia, negotiations between Cruzeiro and Dynamo Moscow have been ongoing for several weeks. Despite some hurdles, discussions progressed due to the urgency of the Russians to sign a player to play in the attacking wing.

Dynamo Moscow also evaluated Iranian Alireza Jahanbakhsh, currently a free agent and a former Feyenoord player from the Netherlands, but decided to proceed with Arthur Gomes.

Arthur Gomes, who joined Cruzeiro in July 2023 during Ronaldo’s management, had a contract with the club until December 2026. The forward was acquired for approximately R$ 16 million, and the club’s management is negotiating his departure for nearly double that amount, representing a significant profit for the club’s finances.

During his time at Cruzeiro, Arthur Gomes was a regular starter, playing 59 matches, scoring eight goals, and providing five assists. However, with the arrival of new reinforcements in the middle of this year, the player lost his place in the team. His last contribution in terms of goals was on July 10, in the 2-0 victory against Grêmio at the Centenário Stadium in Caxias do Sul.
