Guarani and Cruzeiro played what was an eventful game at Brinco de Ouro. While Guarani dominated the game from the onset, looking to attack early, the team from Minas Gerais showed a lot of reaction power to try to score soon after conceding goals, both in the first and in the second half.
In the end, it was worth the effort of Raposa, who won their second outing in a row in Serie B and zeroed their score after the recent punishment suffered by FIFA to finally be able to leave the bottom of the table.
Cruzeiro even went down to an early goal to Guarani just after two minutes of the game
But they showed that they were up for a fight and leveled the scoring three minutes later with Régis. Yet again, they fell by another goal in the 29th minute, with Marcelo Moreno. When Bugre got the tie, in the second half, they finally grabbed the winner, with Leo.
After almost 150 days, Guarani returned to playing at Brinco de Ouro. However, their home feel was not enough for Bugre to break the uncomfortable series without winning, which already reaches three games – two for Serie B and one in the final of the Interior Trophy.
With two wins in two games, Cruzeiro rises to 17th position, with the score zeroed, but with a positive difference of two goals. Meanwhile, Guarani is in 19th place, without winning points and with a negative difference of two goals.
Guarani will go to Ribeirão Preto, where they will face Botafogo-SP on Saturday at Santa Cruz Stadium. The next day, Cruzeiro faces Figueirense at the Orlando Scarpelli Stadium, in Florianópolis.
