Vasco celebrates the growth

Gabriel Mello, coordinator of the Sócio Gigante program, celebrated the significant increase in statements to the ge.com website but emphasized the importance of continuing to grow.

“We are happy with the growth of the supporter membership program. However, we are not complacent with these numbers because we believe that Vasco fans will join the program as a way to help the club at this moment,” Mello stated.

He also highlighted President Pedrinho’s efforts to strengthen the ties between the Association and the SAF, stressing the importance of a robust membership program to ensure more investments in football: “With the increase in revenue, we know it is possible to improve and invest more and more in football,” he added.

Vasco eyes the top 10

Currently, with 46,800 members, Vasco has surpassed Santos and occupies the 11th position among clubs in Series A and B with the most supporter members. To enter the top 10, the Gigante da Colina needs to surpass São Paulo, which has 54,200 members.

Fans excited about the new signings

The arrival of Coutinho, along with the signings of Alex Teixeira and Payet in the last two years, has been a crucial factor for fan enthusiasm. In addition to the increase in the number of members, sales of jerseys and interactions on the club’s social media have also grown significantly.

Vasco prepared for this impact by facilitating the enrollment of new members with a 30% discount for both new registrations and fans close to renewing their plans.

This current growth is the most significant since 2019 when Vasco recorded a 456% increase in its membership, reaching 178,000 members after a promotion carried out by the club.
