As the Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors and Fluminense approaches on November 4 at the Maracanã stadium, the media are reporting a massive influx of supporters of the Argentine club.

According to estimates, between 50,000 and 100,000 Boca Juniors fans will travel to Rio de Janeiro to support their team. Journalist Leandro Aguilera of the TyC Sports channel reported these figures after consulting supporters’ associations.

The 20,000 tickets reserved for the supporters visited have already found takers. Many Boca ultras would also have secured seats in other sections of the stadium, which were already full.

On social networks, calls are being launched to organize travel to Rio de Janeiro, by charter plane, coaches or personal vehicles. The enthusiasm for this pilgrimage seems to exceed all predictions.
